About Me

They (I don’t know who “they” are, but they always seem to be full of wisdom pearls) say that the third time is a charm. And that is what this is. The third time I am attempting to write outside of my work life. The last time resulted in exactly one post.  Goal for this time: Five posts.

In any event, this is a place for me to write for myself, and for anyone else who cares to read it. A word (some words) of warning… It is probably going to be a rather bizarre mix of academia (because I’m a PhD student and aspiring academic), (snow)dogs (because I’m the mother to 4 furbabies, 3 of them snowdogs), personal reflections (not that philosophy is my strong point), life stories (because sometimes I experience amazing things), living with mental illness (because I was diagnosed with [and survived] obsessive compulsive disorder), and marriage (because I recently did that).

I know that Blogs are supposed to have a niche, that they are supposed to focus on one theme or content area, and use that focus to draw in a specific type of person/audience. But if this blog is to honestly reflect who I am as a human being, then it is going to be complicated, eclectic, sometimes insecure, often confused, and full of dog hair.

So read what you want to. Ignore what you want to. Share, or don’t. Let me know what you think (or don’t). Come back, or don’t. It is up to you.

Whether any of this is actually going to happen or not remains to be seen. I’m only human after all. But I will do my best, and my best is just going to have to be good enough.

  1. Lovely to meet you 😊. I agree, we are only human after all! Each of us has a story to tell and I look forward to reading more about yours. Thank you for sharing yours with me.
